Becoming Trauma-Informed
“Sarah’s expertise and passion were evident, and she had a great sense of humour that kept the audience engaged. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone seeking to enhance their understanding of trauma-informed care.”
More than two-thirds of Canadians have experienced significant trauma in their lifetime, but we don't have to be trauma specialists to work in ways that accommodate and support trauma survivors. There are a number of straightforward practices that any organization can implement in order to make themselves more accessible to people who have experienced trauma, including both clients and employees.
Sample workshops include:
Trauma-Informed Practice 101 (90 minutes)
Tools for Becoming Trauma-Informed (half-day)
Implementing a Trauma-Informed Practice Plan in Your Organization (full-day)
We’ll also happily create a customized workshop just for you.
Happy clients include:
STAR Family Health Team
Conestoga College Professional Development
